Why You’re Needed: Use your skills to support and beautify public spaces and recreational activities in the City of Sequim.

Job Basics: This Board is a seven-member citizen panel responsible for advising City Council on matters related to acquisition, control, imporvement, beautification, and planning of all public squares, parks and recreational facilities.

Meeting Schedule: Meetings are the Third Monday of each month at 5pm at the Burkett Community Conference Room, 152 West Cedar Street, Sequim WA 98382.

The Board partners with the City Arts Advisory Commission and the Sequim Bicycle Alliance for events and installations.

SKILLS NEEDED

• Interest in recreational activities and natural spaces.

• Ability to plan and coordinate events and activities with a variety of partners.

• Comfort working in a group and public speaking.

• Members must be residents within the Clallam County boundaries of School District 323, or business property owners within the City of Sequim. At least four members must be city residents.

The City of Sequim is comprised of a growing population of just under 7,000 residents. 55% of community members are women with a median age of 57. Community members give their time through 7 elected City Council Positions and 9 boards or commissions.
